We were lucky to Skype with Dr. Sheri Lullo. She is a art history professor. She teaches at Union College in New York.
When she was young, she liked to learn about
history by learning about art. She loved that pieces of art told stories.
She wanted to share what she learns with other people.
She went to the University of Chicago for four
years for her Bachelor’s Degree. She went to the University of Pittsburgh
for her Masters and Doctorate degrees. She loves school and learning so
she traveled a lot. She has traveled to China, France, Italy, Cambodia,
Singapore, and Malaysia among others.
Dr. Lullo has been in her career for three
years, and has been teaching for 5-6 years. A typical day for her
is to prepare for classes, teach them, and meet with students. She also
spends time answering e-mails and going to meetings.
The hardest part of her job is all the work that
she has to do in a short period of time. She has to teach, do a lot of
research and publish papers, and make time to meet with students. The
best part of her job is learning new things, learning about other cultures and
history, and she enjoys learning about things that are different.
Dr. Lullo loves working with students and
learning. This would be a good job to have if you want to keep learning.
We enjoyed Skyping with her!
