Mechanic

On Thursday morning Mr. Blanke came in Mrs.Christopher’s class for Career Week. He works as a Mechanic for Ford.
His daily responsibilities are  working on cars. He’s a Mechanic and he fixes cars. His typical work day is 4 days a week, 10 hours a day. His job doesn’t stop when he comes home because he is constantly working on his family and friends’ cars too.  He does wear a uniform because it protects him. He doesn’t work alone because it’s important that he works with other people. He has been in his job 25 years. The best part about his job is being challenged and figuring things out.  The hardest part about his job is come back work.
He taught us that today there is more technology in a car than the first space shuttle that traveled to the moon!  Wow!  Mr. Blanke has a tough job, but he likes that he is able to use his mind and body.  He likes to be challenged and he enjoys that it is rewarding.  What a great job!
