Dance Teacher

One of our presenters was Mrs. Labus.  She is a dance teacher at Wings Dance Studio and she is the business owner.  She opened her own studio four years ago and loves her job.

Her daily responsibilities are to plan for her classes, teach, and work with her staff.  She works Monday through Friday and sometimes on Saturday.  Her job doesn't stop when she gets home because she is the owner and she often choreographs and create dances at home.  She has to wear comfy clothes so she can dance with her students in class. She does not work with people around the world, but she communicates with people all over sharing ideas.  She does not work alone. There are 6 teachers and 3 people in her office.  She does not travel often unless she is with her competition team.  

Mrs. Labus went to college for four years at Illinois State University.  She’s been in her career for 20 years.  She has always loved dancing and that inspired her to reach for her dream.  Mrs. Labus told us, “I love what I do.”  We enjoyed hearing from her about her career.
